Young farmers have raised £2,000 for the health board.

Llanfynydd Young Farmers Club, boasting around 40 members aged between 10 and 28, raised the funds via carol singing over the festive seasons in 2022 and 2023.

Member Carys Morgan said: "We raised the funds by carol singing over the festive period in 2022 and 2023.

"We go every year to raise money and we enjoy every second of it.

"We would like to thank the community for their generosity."

The £2,000 raised was split equally between the Chemotherapy Day Unit and the Special Care Baby Unit at Glangwili Hospital.

Carys also explained that some members hold a closer connection to the causes: "We had a past member who had benefited from the Special Care Baby Unit and a mother of one of our members benefitted from the Chemotherapy Unit at Glangwili."

Nicola Llewellyn, head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, expressed heartfelt thanks for the efforts: "We’d like to say a big thank you to Llanfynydd YFC for their fantastic fundraising for Glangwili Hospital.

"The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive."
