History lovers will get the opportunity to find out more about the heritage of the Llandovery landscape at an exhibition this week.
Fforest Fawr Geopark is hosting a community day (Footsteps Through Time) at the Castle Hotel on Saturday, February 27 (from 10am) and inviting people to come and share their memories in a bid to better understand the town’s past.
The event is part of a plan to celebrate the communities in and around Llandovery in a bid to boost tourism and better understand the heritage of the area.
The day will also include various talks as well as stories and an artwork created with the help of local people’s words, images and photographs.
There will also be numerous experts on hand along with historic and digital maps and archaeological records for the public to examine.
Organisers are hoping residents will take the opportunity to take along items representative of the area’s heritage – past and present.
