LLANDOVERY town councillors are planning to mark the forthcoming Royal wedding with a huge street party in Market Square.
They are looking into the possibility of hiring a marquee to hold the event on April 29 when Prince William marries Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey.
Last month county councillor Ivor Jackson expressed the hope the young Royals would pop in on Llandovery when visiting Prince Charles' home at nearby Myddfai.
Cllr Jill Blud said local groups including Rhys Prichard school, the Chamber of Commerce and Women's Institute had already been notified.
"We're planning to have street entertainment and getting the road closed to traffic," she told colleagues.
Cllr Blud promised to get a breakdown of costings in time for next month's meeting.
