GOLDIE Lookin Chain are back for 2015 with a UK tour this summer and the sequel to the third best Greatest Hits compilation ever released.
That’s right, back in ’04 GLC put out the multi-platinum Greatest Hits and now ten years (and a bit) on they are ready to let the imaginatively titled “Greatest Hits 2” loose on the world on 6th April 2015.
Greatest Hits 2 contains some of the best Goldie Lookin Chain songs from 2004 to 2014 which GLC’s Eggsy describes as the “Beyond the thunder dome years, sometimes I feel like Mad Max with Maggot as Angry Anderson aka Iron-bar Bassey”.
Greatest Hits 2 includes such classic tracks as Youtube smash hit “Fresh Prince of Cwmbran”, live classic “Time and Space”, drugs anthem “No Joke”, a drum and bass reworking of “Your Missus Is A Nutter” and the internet smash “Baneswell Express”.
When talking about the track-list, GLC’s Billy Webb says, “I have no idea what is on the album, I’m sure they are all bangers. I just hope they are our songs and not songs by Metallica or Judas Priest coz that wouldn’t work in my opinion”.
As well as the tracks, the GLC have added some sound bites from various TV appearances over the last 10 years.
GLC’s Mike Balls says, “Who knew Krishnan Guru Murthy was such a big GLC fan, I mean I knew Chris Evans was coz he used to play our albums in his pub up by the Celtic Manor”.
2015 will see GLC embark on their third world tour taking in countries right across the British Isles.
Adam Hussain says, “I’m pleased to be going back on the road. It will make a refreshing change from playing Grand Theft Auto.”
Greatest Hits 2 is out on Monday, April 6 and the GLC will be smashing the songs out live this summer.
