TIME is running out for local budding youngsters to enter the St David's competition run by Brace's - Wales' largest independent baker - with the March 6 deadline.
In last week's paper we ran the competition offering a local school and one of its pupils lots of dough and some tasty treats.
The family baker is urging more local children, up to the age of 11, to draw or paint a picture showing what they love about Wales or represents Wales to them. The winner will receive £100, each pupil in their class will get a packet of mouth-watering Welsh cakes and the school PTA will also collect a dough-nation of £100.
Staff at Brace's bakery in Crumlin are extremely busy making one million Welsh cakes in the run-up to St David's Day. Brace's Welsh cakes have recently been re-packaged and are available from all major local supermarkets and independent stores.
There are two mouth-watering varieties - traditional and raspberry jam Welsh cakes - making them an ideal tasty snack for the whole family.
We've already received some paintings and to enter the competition simply send your entry to Brace's competition, South Wales Guardian, 37 Quay Street, Ammanford, SA18 3BS by 6 March 2007.
Please remember to include your name, age, address and daytime contact number as well as the name of your school and teacher's name.
