Côr Cymru winners Serendipity head to Ammanford Miners Theatre, Wednesday 9 May, for a programme showcasing their eclectic repertoire.

Serendipity's appearance at Ammanford is part of a busy summer ahead for the choir, which includes dates with Katherine Jenkins and Juan Diego Florez, plus a performance at the International Eisteddford at Llangollen.

Formed in 2001, they1ve performed at The Royal Festival Hall, London1s Royal Albert Hall, appeared on both BBC1 and BBC4 and have seen success winning the Welsh round of Sainsbury1s Choir of the Year 2002 and were chosen as Côr Cymru 2005 after an S4C-telivised competition.

The choir, who enjoy an excellent reputation as one of Wales1 most diverse and innovative singing ensembles, are conducted by Timothy Rhys Evans and accompanied by Jeffrey Howard.

Tickets are selling fast for their Ammanford performance which is likely to feature music ranging from traditional Welsh melodies and hymns to choral classics, contemporary works and highlights from the world of musical theatre and opera.

This evening will appeal to anyone who loves choral music at its best and kicks off at 8pm.
