MATTHEWS Dan (William Daniel Matthews) (Gwernego Homes) Suddenly but peacefully after a long illness on Wednesday, July 14th, with his close family by his side, Dan aged 85 years, a gentle man with special attributes. Loving and faithful husband of Indeg for nearly 60 years, dear father of Meryl, cherished grandfather of Mari, dearly loved son of the late Meredydd and Eira Matthews, fond brother of David and Margaret, respected brother-in-law of Audrey and John and close cousin of Marie. Due to the circumstances a private service for the family will be held on Tuesday, August 3rd at Llanelli Crematorium. There will be a short service outside the family home for friends and neighbours at 1.00pm. The funeral cortege will be leaving his home at 50 Heol Ceirios, Llandybie at 1.15pm for anyone wishing to pay their respects. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to Saron Baptist Chapel, Ammanford, kindly received by Hywel Griffiths and Sons, Funeral Directors, Bwtrimawr, 39 Betws Road, Betws, Ammanford SA18 2HE.
