GLANAMAN residents have been assured that the county council is taking action to reopen a road in the village which has been closed for months after a tractor collided with a house last August.
Llwyncelyn Road was shut because the structure of the propertywas considered a potential danger to road users.
A Dangerous Structures Notice was served on the owner and on a recent site visit council officers could see some progress had been made.
The owner confirmed the foundation and wall construction, as well as the reinstatement of the embankment would be completed within two to three weeks.
Residents had complained to both Cllrs Kevin Madge and David Jenkins about the length of time the road has been closed.
Cllr Madge said: “I would like to reassure residents that we are doing all we can to reopen the road. Some of the works needed have been carried out by theowner and officers will be returning to make sure the remaining works are completed.
“Once they are satisfied that there is no longer a risk to public safety, arrangements will be made to reopen the road.”
