A TEAM of young offenders has begun paying its dues to the community in Ammanford.
The youngsters, who have all previously fallen foul of the law, have joined forces with residents to carry out work as part of the restoration project which is underway at All Saints Church.
The team has been painting boundary railings and carrying out general cleaning duties in the church grounds under the supervision of the probation service.
The youngsters will continue to work in the church grounds every Saturday until the project is completed.
The restoration of the church was set in motion last year following the closure of All Saints on safety grounds.
The goal is to use the church building as a community hub.
Work has also been carried out to replace the damaged part of the clock, which has seen the All Saints Clock fall silent in recent weeks.
The work was carried out by Smith of Derby, a bespoke clockmakers with 150 years of exper - tise in clock-making.
