LLANDEILO Fire Station is hosting an action-packed open day on Saturday (June 29) from 1pm-4pm.
Mid and West Wales Fire & Rescue Service is encouraging people to join fire - fighters at the station to enjoy a whole host of games, activities, refreshments and demonstrations.
There will be various different fire engines to see including the Aerial Rescue Pump and play fire engine. There will be various live demonstrations, including a chip pan fire and Community Safety and Road Traffic Collision displays. Stalls selling merchandise such as Blaze Bear Toys and Children’s Fire Helmets will also be there. Local firefighters and community safety staff will be on hand to chat to visitors about the fire and rescue service and its work in helping to keep communities safe.
Watch manager John Jones said: “This is a great opportunity to meet the Llandeilo Fire & Rescue personnel and see the activities they are involved in on a daily basis.”
There is no entry fee for the open day and all proceeds will be donated to The Firefighters Charity, the UK’s leading provider of services that enhance quality of life for serving and retired fire - fighters and their families. All welcome!
