BIRTHDAY: Learning disability charity Ammanford Junior Gateway celebrates turning 21 this year.
A CHARITY which strives to help people with learning disabilities in Carmarthenshire is celebrating a special birthday this year.
Amman Valley Mencap (Ammanford Junior Gateway) has helped transform the lives of numerous adults and children with learning disabilities in and around Ammanford for 21 years.
Its base on College Street not only offers general advice and information services, but also holiday and play schemes, respite care, sporting activities and training for people with a learning disability.
To celebrate its birthday, the charity’s trustees are staging a birthday ball at the Amman Centre in Ammanford on Friday, November 8.
Tickets cost £15 and include a two course meal, followed by a charity auction and raffle.
