AN AMMANFORD business has been fined for dumping a bag of rubbish in the street.
The manager was issued with a fixed penalty notice for £75 by council environmental enforcement officers after the bag of rubbish was found in High Street.
The business, which cannot be named for legal reasons, had previously been warned by the council and offered advice on how to dispose of its waste correctly.
Executive Board Member for Environmental and Public Protection Cllr Jim Jones said: “Our enforcement officers regularly carry out patrols across the county and businesses that fail to comply with waste legislation will be fined.
“Businesses have a legal duty to dispose of their waste safely and without harm to the environment. The council is determined to clean up Carmarthenshire.”
