Dyfed-Powys Police Roads Policing Unit are continuing to appeal for information into a road traffic collision involving a police motorcyclist on the A40 dual carriageway on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred at the Bancyfelin around 8.55am.
The officer was travelling towards Carmarthen and had to take evasive action to avoid colliding with a light coloured medium sized car that crossed the central reservation from the westbound carriageway turning right into the eastbound carriageway.
According to police reports, the vehicle crossed into the path of the police motorcyclist.
The manoeuvre caused the motorcyclist to lose control and as a result was thrown from his bike.
The car in question did not stop at the scene and was last seen heading in the general direction of Carmarthen.
The officer did not sustain any serious injuries.
