A team of amateur cyclists will cycle from Llandybie to Shrewsbury on September 7 to raise much needed funds for Cancer Research Wales and the Ty Bryngwyn Hospice in Llanelli.

Nicolette Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Chris Morris, John Duggan, Rowland Richards, Mair Steinman, Rob Davies the postie, Paul Tommason, Nigel Evans, Chris Thomas, Andrew Thomas, Daniel Evans and also Jayne Morris the designated driver who will be in charge of supplies, have raised a significant amount of sponsors for their respective charities and would like to thank all who have donated for their kind generosity.

One way or another the riders have all been affected by cancer. Nicolette has now fully recovered from having breast cancer last year, Andrew’s mother sadly passed away last Christmas after a long battle with Cancer and John’s wife who passed away towards the end of last year, but had received the utmost care and dedication from the staff at the Ty Bryngwyn Hospice. Both Mair's mother and nephew suffered with cancer and were treated at Ty Bryngwyn Hospice, sadly Mair's mum passed away but her nephew is now in remission and doing well. Chris Morris’s mother is bravely battling with Cancer and we all wish her well.
