AN Ysgol Gymraeg Rhydaman youngster made a real splash when she dreamt up a name for the new water features at Ammanford Park.
The Year Three pupil Elan Mackey claimed first prize in a competition, organised by Ammanford town council, to come up with a name for the splash facilities, which officially opened earlier this year.
The town's youngsters have been putting the new features to great use during the recent heatwave and fine summer and the facilities have been deemed a soaring success by Elan and her classmates.
Elan's suggestion of Parc Spashtastig was the perfect choice for the judges.
Elan was presented with her prize by town mayor Irena Hopkins.
