The Swansea Memory Walk takes place this Sunday, September 29 in the city’s historic Marina and guides walkers along the scenic seafront promenade towards the Mumbles.
Memory Walk is Alzheimer’s Society’s flagship fundraising event which sees walks take place throughout the UK during September.
You can register for the walk from 10am with the walk starting at 11am.
There is a choice of two routes available, a longer 10km one or a shorter 2km walk. Both walks start together at the National Waterfront Museum and take in some of Swansea's proud heritage as walkers wander around the flotilla of boats and quirky cafés in the Maritime Quarter.
After the stroll along the seafront, the short walk takes a circular route back to Museum Park while the long route continues along the Promenade, giving walkers the opportunity to enjoy the views and atmosphere of beautiful Swansea Bay.
Live music and entertainment, will come from singer and comedienne, Lorraine King.
Fundraising stalls and hot tasty refreshments will be on offer all day at Museum Park, ensuring it is a day to remember for the whole family.
