A 23-year-old Gorslas man ordered to pay £500 after being found guilty in absence of speeding has seen his sentence cleared by magistrates.
Daniel Rees, of Cross Hands Road, was fined £400 by Llanelli magistrates and ordered to £100 costs and charges after being accused of doing 50mph in a 30mph zone on October 27, 2012.
However, following an appearance in court confirming he was unaware of the charge, magistrates agreed to overturn the sentence.
Rees was told the Crown Prosecution Service would now consider whether to pursue the case further.
