A MOTORCYCLIST suffered multiple injuries and was last night in a serious condition after an accident in Cwmgors.
South Wales Police are investigating the collision which occurred at about 2.40pm on Monday along the A474 Rhydyfro to Cwmgors Road.
The collision involved two vehicles - a black VW Sharan and a multi-coloured Honda motorcycle.
A South Wales Police spokesman said: "The motorcycle was heading towards Rhydyfro when it was in collision with the VW Sharan which was travelling in the opposite direction.
"As a result, the 26-year-old male rider of the motorcycle received multiple fractures and is currently in a serious condition at hospital."
The road re-opened just after 6pm.
The accident is the third in the last six months on the busy stretch of road.
