CHANGES to rotas could leave only one ambulance covering the Ammanford and Tumble, according to local MP Adam Price.
He fears an ongoing review could leave lives at risk and is writing to the ambulance trust seeking to clarify the proposals.
"I am concerned the rotas review could leave residents in my constituency without 24 hour and day emergency service," said Mr Price.
"I appreciate there is high demand on the ambulance service but the people of Ammanford and the Gwendraeth should not have to be left in a situation where suitable cover is not provided.
"I am hoping the response will ensure that any changes to the rota will not result in a lack of ambulance cover for my constituents."
