TWO FOUR BEDROOM houses look set to be built in the Towy Valley - despite neighbours insisting it would over-develop the area.
The application, for homes to be built on a plot adjacent to Min y Dderwen in Ffarmers, is expected to receive a green light at a planning meeting in Carmarthen tomorrow (Thursday).
All four neighbour consultation letters sent out were returned with objections, with residents also concerned that the design is not in-keeping with the area.
But both fears have been allayed by planning officer Kevin Phillips, who has recommended consent is granted.
"The area of land within the application site is considered to be large enough to support the two dwellings, with sufficient spatial standard for amenity space and parking and turning facilities.
"The form of the dwellings are in-keeping with the property opposite and to the east side of the road."
Carmarthenshire Council's head of transport Trevor Sage recommended six highway condition are imposed on any planning permission granted.
"The principle of land use for the development of two dwellings is compatible with adjacent land uses," added Mr Phillips.
