TWO people have been given on-the-spot fines of £75 for throwing litter out of a car window.
The man and woman were seen throwing food packaging from their vehicle which was parked in a car park in Cross Hands Business Park.
Carmarthenshire County Council environmental enforcement officers issued fixed penalty notices of £75 to both the 24-year-old male and the 21-year-old female.
If they fail to pay the fine they face prosecution in the magistrates court and a maximum penalty of up to £2,500.
Council environment chiefs say they hope this latest fine will act as a warning to would-be litter louts.
