A BETWS man involved in an attack that left a soccer captain permanently disabled has been jailed for three years.
Matthew Steinman, 20, was standing trial at Swansea crown court for affray when he attacked Paul Pugh, then captain of Cwmaman FC.
His three year sentence will not begin until he has served the 12 months he received for the affray.
Steinman, of Caemawr - one of four men charged in connection with the attack - admitted causing grievous bodily harm.
