A BIRD’S eye view of the new Ysgol Bro Dinefwr is now available to access after aerial footage has been taken of the site.
The video of the £30 million school at Ffairfach shows the new building along with its grounds, sports facilities and surrounding countryside.
Bro Dinefwr caters for 1,200 pupils, including 200 sixth form pupils and 30 places for children with additional learning needs. The new building opened its doors to its first pupils recently with the remaining school children set to move in this September.
Staff and pupils are occupying on a phased basis and it has 140 children plus another 25 in Canolfan Cothi, which is a specialist unit specifically for children with autism.
The category 2B bilingual school was delivered in partnership with the Welsh Government through its 21st century schools programme. The building provides first class accommodation and facilities plus high quality vocational courses with other Dinefwr schools and Coleg Sir Gar.
Education executive board member, Cllr Gareth Jones, said: “The firm demonstrates the high quality of the building and its facilities, and also the lovely location. This is a state of the art school which will benefit thousands of children in the area.”
