A WOMAN has been hospitalised following a crash in College Street, Ammanford.
The road was blocked while police officers and paramedics dealt with the incident.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service, said: "We were called at about 1.40pm this afternoon to reports a car had collided with bollards on College Street, Ammanford.
"A crew in an emergency ambulance and a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene."
The Ambulance Service confirmed a woman had been taken to Glangwili General Hospital following the collision.
Shortly after the incident, a spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said:
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We are at the scene now, we received the call at 1.38pm.
“The incident involved one vehicle, and the driver is reported to have had a medical episode. She is receiving treatment, and the ambulance service is at the scene.
“The road is closed.”
