Amman Valley Mencap, in association with Special Olympics Carmarthenshire, is celebrating National Learning Disability Week with a fun day in Ammanford Park on Wednesday, June 19 from 10.30am through until 1pm.
The event will be packed with fun events such as an egg and spoon race, sack race, car wash relay, tug of war, 1km walk/run round the park plus much more.
There will also be music and a delicious BBQ to enjoy as well as an inflatable assault course and medals and trophies for the winners and winning teams.
A spokesperson for the event said: “The day’s events are suitable for anybody with a learning disability and the local school children to join in with and have a fun filled day in the park.
“We would like to offer a big thank you to the local organisations and businesses who have very kindly offered their support to the day’s proceedings.
“Come along and join in the fun and help us to celebrate one of Mencap’s most important annual events and have a great time.”
Entry to the event is free of charge.
