The new Mayor of Ammanford has been elected for 2019/2020.
Cllr Wendi Mills-Lowe takes over the role from County Councillor Deian Harris after his six-month stint in the position.
During the Annual General Meeting held on May 23, Cllr Mills-Lowe said: “Thank you all for your support and I would like to welcome Rhodri and Steven to the council.
“It has not been a great year for Ammanford Town Council but it has been a learning curve for us all.
“We have a fantastic team behind us and since the recruitment of the new officer’s, the asset transfer process has moved on significantly.
“I am looking forward to completing more training courses to help our community.
“We have a huge mountain to climb but a brighter and positive future.”
Cllr Julia Bell was elected to take on the role as Deputy Mayor during the meeting.
Councillors unanimously agreed that both Cllr Bell and Cllr Mills-Lowe should be elected for the roles.
Cllr Harries said: “We have been though a difficult period but we are putting the trouble behind us and I know we can achieve big things.
“Let’s put on even better events for the town in 2019.”
