Ten areas of Swansea have some of the worst Covid case rates in Wales over the last seven days.
MSOA (middle layer super output areas) data released by Public Health Wales shows that ten areas of Swansea have some of the highest rates in Wales.
The latest weekly figures reveal three areas have rates north of 1,000 cases per 100,000 people.
Pontarddulais, Birchgrove and Cwmbwrla have all seen more than one per cent of residents catch coronavirus over the that period.
The worst impacted is Pontarddulais.
Between August 31 and September 6, there were 83 new cases in the area, giving it a rate of 1,241.4 cases per 100,000 people.
There were 86 new cases recorded in Cwmbwrla, a rate of 1,099.6, and 82 new cases in Birchgrove, a rate of 1,016.7.
They were the three of the ten areas of Swansea with case rates above 836 cases per 100,000 people, putting them in the top ten per cent across Wales.
Also in that group was Cockett, Bon-y-maen, Llansamlet and Morriston North.
This is the coronavirus rate and number of new cases for every area across Swansea:
- West Gower: 32 new cases; a rate of 504.5 cases per 100,000 people.
- Llanmorlais & Three Crosses: 32 new cases; a rate of 630.6 cases per 100,000 people.
- Mayals & Bishopston: 31 new cases; a rate of 533.3 cases per 100,000 people.
- Dunvant & Upper Killay: 45 new cases; a rate of 801.0 cases per 100,000 people.
- Mumbles & Newton: 46 new cases; a rate of 620.9 cases per 100,000 people.
- West Cross: 35 new cases; a rate of 537.9 cases per 100,000 people.
- Gowerton: 48 new cases; a rate of 714.8 cases per 100,000 people.
- Killay: 23 new cases; a rate of 458.7 cases per 100,000 people.
- Sketty: 25 new cases; a rate of 393.3 cases per 100,000 people.
- Brynmill: 28 new cases; a rate of 274.9 cases per 100,000 people.
- Uplands: 72 new cases; a rate of 742.0 cases per 100,000 people.
- Ty-coch: 45 new cases; a rate of 549.5 cases per 100,000 people.
- Cockett: 69 new cases; a rate of 952.9 cases per 100,000 people.
- Loughor: 76 new cases; a rate of 796.0 cases per 100,000 people.
- Ravenhill: 77 new cases; a rate of 913.7 cases per 100,000 people.
- Cwmbwrla: 86 new cases; a rate of 1,099.6 cases per 100,000 people.
- Townhill: 78 new cases; a rate of 857.8 cases per 100,000 people.
- Central Swansea: 60 new cases; a rate of 583.4 cases per 100,000 people.
- St Thomas: 59 new cases; a rate of 713.4 cases per 100,000 people.
- Landore: 80 new cases; a rate of 777.4 cases per 100,000 people.
- Penderry: 76 new cases; a rate of 788.1 cases per 100,000 people.
- Llangyfelach & Tircoed: 59 new cases; a rate of 701.8 cases per 100,000 people.
- Gorseinon: 70 new cases; a rate of 658.0 cases per 100,000 people.
- Pontarddulais: 83 new cases; a rate of 1,241.4 cases per 100,000 people.
- Clydach & Mawr: 72 new cases; a rate of 755.6 cases per 100,000 people.
- Morriston North: 76 new cases; a rate of 857.4 cases per 100,000 people.
- Birchgrove: 82 new cases; a rate of 1,016.7 cases per 100,000 people.
- Mynydd-bach: 76 new cases; a rate of 836.0 cases per 100,000 people.
- Morriston South: 59 new cases; a rate of 776.4 cases per 100,000 people.
- Llansamlet: 66 new cases; a rate of 939.2 cases per 100,000 people.
- Bon-y-maen: 75 new cases; a rate of 996.4 cases per 100,000 people.
