A Pontardawe man appeared in court via video link to face a string of charges including assault and theft.
Connor Richard Williams, 21, of Tanydarren, Cilmaengwyn, Pontardawe, was sent to jail for six months after appearing at Llanelli Magistrates' Court via a live link on September 22 for sentencing.
Williams denied destroying a mobile phone in Brynamman on December 7, last year. He also denied taking a Volkswagen Polo without the consent of the owner.
The court also heard that Williams, on December 7, assaulted a woman in Brynamman. He also denied criminally damaging her car on October 25 last year.
Williams entered not guilty pleas for all charges on July 15 this year and he was found guilty on all charges by magistrates on September 3.
On Wednesday, September 22 magistrates sent him to prison for six months due to the serious offences committed over several months.
A year-long restraining order was imposed by the court banning him from contacting the woman. He was also ordered to pay a total of £1,600 in compensation and £128 to the victim surcharge fund.
