A MAN who assaulted a police officer and two detectives in Ammanford has been jailed.
John Knight, 37, admitted to three charges of assaulting an emergency worker by beating at a hearing at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court.
The incidents took place on September 28.
Knight, of Stafford Street, Llanelli, also pleaded guilty to possessing class B drug cannabis at Llanelli on September 28.
In committing the latest offences he was also in breach of a community order imposed in 2019.
This community order was revoked and he was sentenced to a 12-month prison sentence.
Knight was also ordered to pay a total of £750 in compensation, a £156 surcharge to fund victim services and £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
