A woman has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving, following a fatal collision in Carmarthenshire.
The incident, which involved a blue 3 series BMW and a blue Vauxhall Vectra, occurred at around 9pm yesterday (Friday, October 8th) at the Heol Goffa crossroads in Llanelli.
A statement from Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that a child died as a result of the injuries they sustained in the collision. Specialist police officers are providing support to their family.
The police spokesperson added “The arrested woman was travelling in a separate car to the child. She remains in police custody at this time.
“There were no other casualties.”
Police are appealing for witnesses.
