A 23-year-old woman has been charged with death by dangerous driving, and drink driving, after a child was killed in a crash in Carmarthenshire on Friday.
The incident, which involved a blue 3 series BMW and a blue Vauxhall Vectra, occurred at around 9pm in Friday, October 8, at the Heol Goffa crossroads in Llanelli.
A statement from Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that a child died as a result of the injuries they sustained in the collision. Specialist police officers are providing support to their family.
Lucy Dyer, of Heulwen Terrace, Llanelli, who was travelling in a separate car to the child, was arrested and subsequently charged with death by dangerous driving, and drink driving.
She has been remanded into custody and will appear at court tomorrow (Monday).
