The National Trust in Carmarthenshire is delivering half-term activities with their own unique twist this year.
At Dinefwr in Llandeilo, the theme is woodland wonders. The team have switched from pumpkin carving to something quite enchanting and completely sustainable with a woodland themed week.
A shadow puppet theatre is part of the events, running from October 23 – 31, inviting children to create stories to share with their family before exploring other shadowy treats across all three floors of Newton House.
The installations reveal and showcase the architecture of the house in a stunning new way, and there are lots of peep holes and play opportunities in the basement rooms.
The trail in the parkland involves bark rubbing, leaf collecting and wand making and, of course, endless glorious Autumn colour.
Special events are free, normal admission charges to the properties apply.
