In the Llanelli Snooker League, Mark Hughes' solitary frame-win averted a whitewash for Upper Tumble Blues as they were beaten 6-1 by Morfa.
Gorseinon Workmens edged a 4-3 victory against Cons A(Charlie Bolton 77 break), and Cross Hands B were 6-1 winners against Trimsaran. Matchroom Reds won 5-2 against Ponthenri Social (Lewis Grey 51 break).
Matchroom Whites suffered a narrow 4-3 defeat at the hands of Pontyberem Workmens', and Pontarddulais Workingmens' edged home 4-3, thanks to the efforts of Adam Griffiths, Steve Davies and Mike Footman.
In division two, wins from Adam Rees, Howell Pritchard, Dai Bunford (24) and Scott Bundfuss gave Cross Hands A a 5-2 win at Bryn A, whilst The Gremlin Club defeated Llandybie RFC 5-2. Shane Wright and Sion Isaac won frames for the Rugby club.
Tycroes RFC suffered a 7-0 hammering at the hands of Pontarddulais Cons B; for Bont, Mark Aberstraw (33), Tony Shadrach, Rob Davey, David Gabe, Keith Williams and Geraint Thomas completed the rout.
Reading Room Reds saw off Upper Tumble Reds to win the match 5-2; Steff Lewis and Nolan Allison were on the ball for the visitors.
In the Worthington Cup Morfa Social beat Llandybie Social, 4-1, with Rob Hughes' 65 break the highlight.
