The countdown has begun to the much-awaited return of Llandeilo Lit Fest.

Around 20 acts will be taking to the stage at the recently-opened Hengwrt between April 22 and 24 and audiences can enjoy a mixture of Welsh and English speakers and a diverse range of books and topics.

"We're delighted with the fact that the festival is once again going agead, particularly given the enormous appetite we're now experiencing for live events," said festival chairman Christoph Fischer.

And to ensure that as many bookworms as possible can enjoy this year's festival; organisors have decided to make it hybrid with around 50 per cent of the programme streamed live.

"This means that people who still don't feel safe about venturing out into large crowds can access the festival from the comfort of their own homes online," added Christoph Fischer.

The festival, which will be held in partnership with Menter Dinefwr, is this year celebrating its fifth birthday.  Main sponsors are Literature Wales, Carreg Law, Jones INternational, Pritchard Evans and Co, Accountants & Tax Adviisers and Birds' Hill Rural Renewables.

Details of the programme can be found on https://llandeilolitfest.org/ once it is released in March.
