Specialist espresso bar and small batch roastery, Coaltown Coffee Roasters, are filtering into a new branch following the announcement that they will be taking up residence at the Cupid Way link in Swansea.
The unit, leased by Swansea City Council, will be the second retail premises run by the business, following on from the opening of their hugely successful Ammanford coffee shop and roastery that opened in 2018.
Much of Coaltown Coffee’s success stems from the company’s ability to seasonally source high quality coffee beans from some of the world's leading coffee growing regions, ensuring a variety of produce and taste is being served to discerning customers throughout the year.
Scott James, Coaltown Coffee Founder and Sales Director, said: "Being part of this new development in our local city is an exciting step for our business.
Located in the new link between the city centre, the bridge and the arena, Coaltown Coffee will be able to offer customers an outstanding welcome and a special visitor experience."
Since setting up in business four years ago, Coaltown Coffee now supplies more than 300 independent businesses across the UK. It also has an online coffee subscription service with thousands of customers.
Meanwhile Swansea’s City regeneration department are keen to welcome on board some young, innovative and sustainable business from South West Wales, and every Cupid Way unit that has so far been let is occupied by local traders.
Coaltown Coffee is the latest business to take up a unit at the Cupid Way link that connects the city centre with Swansea Arena and the new bridge over Oystermouth Road.
Other businesses which have already signed-up for units at Cupid Way include Frozziyo Frozen Yoghurt, Imperial Candy and KoKoDoo Korean Fried Chicken, although there are still some units which remain vacant.
These include a 530 square foot small kiosk unit and a 1,215 square foot church hall café.
Any food and beverage businesses interested in finding out more about these units are asked to contact Jonathan Hicks at Swansea Council on jonathan.hicks@swansea.gov.uk, or Spencer Winter at RivingtonHark on spencer.winter@rivingtonhark.com
