A PUBLIC footpath is closed for six months to allow for repair work on an unsafe building.
The footpath at the Old Bethel Chapel in Heol Felen in Glanamman will be closed for the duration to allow for the works to go ahead on the ‘unsafe listed building.
The initial order for closure was made by Carmarthenshire County Council on March 28 and a continuance was put in place on April 11.
The section of path closed is 149m long and runs from the beginning of the footpath leading from Heol Felen (footpath 44/71) in a north westerly direction, past the Old Bethel Chapel and meeting footpath 44/70.

An alternative route is in place which takes pedestrians behind the chapel as shown on the below diagram.
