Brave little toddler Joseph Yeandle will be remembered by the Brynamman community next weekend when ‘Sounds for Pounds’ hosts a variety evening to raise funds for Joseph’s Smile.
The variety night will take place at Brynamman Public Hall Cinema on Saturday, May 21 and features a host of local talent including the Tawe Voices, the Amman Valley School of Dance, Organised Kaos, Bella Rees, Mess up the Mess Theatre Company, The Review, Lindy Hopper and Morgan Wood.
Joseph’s Smile was set up by the toddler’s family after the brave little three-year-old lost his battle to cancer in December 2021.
Throughout the toddler’s fight against Stage 4 neuroblastoma, the support shown towards him by the community was incredible with actors including Michael Sheen and Eve Myles joining the fund raising campaign.
Following his death, his parents set up Joseph’s Smile to raise money for families who are facing a similar situation and who have to personally fund much-needed services that aren’t available in the NHS.
“Our hearts are broken into a million pieces,” commented his family following Joseph’s death which was the day after Boxing Day, 2021.
“We have no other words. Joseph, we love you so much. Sleep tight, our special boy.”
The Sounds for Pounds charity evening begins at 7pm with the doors opening at 6.30pm. Tickets are available, price £5 to £8.
