A Carmarthenshire touring park has won one of Tripadvisor’s most prestigious awards after being named the Travelers’ Choice Winner for 2022.
The South Wales Touring Park at Llwynifan Farm, Llangennech was chosen for the title following a stream of glowing reviews from clients.
“As challenging as the past year was, South Wales Touring Park stood out consistently,” commented Kanika Soni, Tripadvisor’s chief commercial officer.
“This award recognises the best in tourism and hospitality but it’s also based on the comments and opinions of those who matter the most – the guests.
"We’re extremely impressed at the way in which the South Wales Touring Park has met the travelers’ new demands and the way in which they’ve adapted so brilliantly in the face of such adversity which the last 12 months has thrown at the holiday industry.”
The Park is run by Hywel Davies and his sister Cathrin who took the site over following the death of their father in 2011.
The family bought Llwynifan Farm in 1976 and subsequently set up a small camping site in the mid 1980s.
Hywel is no stranger to the holiday industry having worked for the Walt Disney World Epcot Centre in Florida as their cultural representative for Wales.
“We’re delighted to once again receive the Travelers’ Choice award,” he said, “as it’s always our aim to exceed our guests’ expectations and provide and very best service and warm Welsh welcome to everyone who stays with us.
“We’d just like to say a big thank you to everyone who left us a review over the past year and who’s enabled this award to happen.”
The South Wales Touring Park is a 25-pitch adults only touring park which accepts motorhomes and caravans.
ll pitches are hard standing and enjoy the benefit of heated shower rooms, toilets, dish washing facilities, a dog shower, exercise area and laundry facilities.
The park is situated one mile from junction 48 of the M4.
