Llandovery is in for a roaring spectacle next weekend when 50 Evel Knievel cape-wearing bikers will hit the town for a charity ride.
The riders will be embarking on a 1,200-mile trip from Cardiff to Wrexham on Sunday, June 5, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support to help people living with cancer.
Their journey begins in Wrexham on June 1 before heading to Edinburgh, London and Cardiff. Their route will take them to the Owls Nest, Llandovery between 11.45am and 1pm on June 5.
The ride will involve people from all over the UK with each rider raising individual sponsorship ahead of the event and funding their own costs in completing the five-day event.

“Every time we do it, the event continues to deliver its aim of smiles, miles, and considerable funds raised by the good people the event attracts,” said rider founder and organiser Jason Lewis.
“It’s such a great sight to see but also the money they raise helps support people who are living with cancer, many of whom need Macmillan’s support now, more than ever.”
