Llandeilo Town Council has launched a community and business app for the town, after being awarded funding from the Welsh government’s Smart Towns Initiative.
The app, known as Dyma Llandeilo, will be made public on the App Store and Google Play by the end of the month.
The app is being designed to serve residents, businesses and visitors of the town, with pages about every community organisation, club, business, charity, society and sports club.
Christoph Fischer, deputy mayor at the town council, said: “The plan is to have absolutely everything about our town on the app: A place for everything, and everything in its place.
“It will be a useful tool and a springboard to help bring back a little prosperity into a community that has survived the pandemic, but not unscathed.”

Furthermore, the app will provide plenty of information to the town’s visitors and tourists, such as places to eat and drink, places to visit and the history of the area.
All organisations in Llandeilo are able to register their details for free, while all businesses can sign up to be listed for a small annual fee to fund the continuing development of the app.
