A 22-year-old Ammanford woman has been charged with wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon, namely a kitchen knife, in a public place following an alleged incident in Ammanford on Sunday.
The Crown Prrosecution claims that Shaunagh Downing, 22, committed the offences during an altercation with Daniel Jonas in the Dol y Dderwen Gardens in the early hours of Sunday morning, July 3.
The Crown claims that as a result of the incident, 19-year-old Daniel Jonas was injured and conveyed to hospital for treatment.

Downing appeared before Llanelli magistrates on Monday where both charges were read out to her. No pleas were submitted.
The case was adjourned until August 2 at Swansea Crown Court and Downing was released on conditional bail.
