FOUR people from Ammanford recently appeared in court for driving offences.

Nathan Vaughan Harries, 28, of Llandeilo Road, Upper Brynamman, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 4.

He was caught on January 17 doing 38mph on the B4546 St Dogmaels Road where the limit is 20mph. He was fined £333 and given five points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Clive Llewellyn, 45, of Lower Brynamman, Ammanford, admitted driving without insurance at Cardiff Magistrates Court on June 28.

He was caught on May 5 and was fined £392 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £39 surcharge and £90 costs.

Luke Toms, 36, of Fforest Fach, Tycroes, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 4.

He was caught on November 28 doing 82mph on the A48 overpass near Pensarn, where the limit is 70mph. He was fined £66 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge.

James Hooker, 27, of Afryn, Upper Brynamman, Ammanford, was found guilty of driving without a valid test certificate by Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 5.

He was caught on January 14 on Heol Gwys, Lower Cwmtwrch. He was fined £60 and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
