PLANS to build new homes in the centre of Ammanford have been submitted to Carmarthenshire council.
The application would see four detached homes on the site with a shared private drive for all four homeowners.
Should the application be approved, the four houses would be built in the garden area of Gwynfryn, located between College Street and Brynmawr Avenue, alongside Brynmawr Lane.
A former application for the site has previously been approved by Carmarthenshire County Council. However, the time period had lapsed, and this application is a resubmission.
The garden accumulates 0.3 hectares, sat beside the English Baptist Church, which would be almost directly adjacent to one of the projected home to the build on the plot of land.

The shared drive between the four houses would have access to the area via Brynmawr Lane.
Plots three and four are the smallest of the four proposed homes, which back on to College Street.
This would mean that the trees at the back of the garden would be taken down to allow access from College Street to the two newly built houses.
The application was made by Richard Tarr, owner of Gwyfryn, with Llandeilo-based Davies Richards Design Ltd acting as agents in the application.
