THE Evofit Super6 charity touch rugby tournament for 2022 is to be held this weekend after a two-year absence due to Covid-19.
The tournament will see 20 men’s teams competing, and eight women’s teams at Penybanc RFC in Ammanford.
This is the first event since 2019, and the first to run a women’s only tournament alongside the men’s tournament.
The Super6 was started back in 2006 by Mathew Williams of Evofit Cross Hands, and has been held annually since.
A spokesperson from the event said: “It’s an action-packed day of fast paced rugby and always entertaining to watch.
“We are hoping for good weather and to attract plenty of spectators to raise more money for the events chosen charities, Wales Air Ambulance and the Jac Lewis foundation.

“There’s plenty going on off the field with a live DJ, full bar, hog roast, coffee, cakes and desserts. Come along for a few drinks, a treat and enjoy the rugby on display.”
Entry is £5 for spectators and free for under 16s, with the first game kicking off at 12pm on Saturday, July 30 and the final game being played at around 5.30pm.
