The latest statistics available have shown that more than 170 crimes have been reported in Ammanford across two months.
According to the latest information from police.uk, 87 crimes were reported in Ammanford in the space of one month, compared to 86 the previous month.
This means that in two months this summer, a total of 173 crimes have been reported in the town.
Over the latest month, the most common type of crime is violence and sexual offences, with 21 of those crimes reported.
Adding to this, there were 16 criminal damage and arson offences, along with 13 public order offences and 12 anti-social behaviour offences reported.

Ten drug offences, seven shoplifting offences, three thefts, two vehicle crimes, two burglaries and one robbery were also reported.
Crime has been constantly on the rise in the town across 2022, with January and February amounting to 99 crimes in those two months.
