A man from Llandovery has been charged with kidnapping and two counts of rape, along with multiple other indictable offences.
Andrew Williams, aged 48, of Market Square, Llandovery, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates Court today (Friday, August 5).
He was arrested after a police presence in Llandovery on Wednesday, August 3, following allegations of rape.
Following his arrest, he was charged with:
- Two counts of rape
- Kidnap
- Causing/inciting a child to engage in sexual activity
- Administering a substance with intent to commit a sexual offence
- Actual bodily harm
He has since been remanded into custody following his appearance at Llanelli Magistrates Court and is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on Friday, 2 September 2022.
