A NUMBER of people have appeared in court recently for driving offences around the region.

Stuart Craig Davies, 27, of Margaret Road, Llandybie, was found guilty of driving without a seatbelt by Cardiff Magistrates Court on August 19.

He was caught on February 28 on Bolgoed Road not wearing a seatbelt while driving a DAF truck. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Jonathon Howells, 34, of Golwg y Llanw, Pontarddulais, admitted drug driving at Llanelli Magistrates Court on August 25.

He was caught on March 11 on the A48 Westbound at Foelgastell, Cross Hands with a cannabis derivative known as Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood. The level came to 6.2ug/L.

He was banned from driving for 14 months and fiend £120. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £85 costs.

Howard Owen Wooldridge, 62, of Alltiago Road, Pontarddulais, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on August 24.

He was caught on March 3 doing 29mph on Belgrave Road in Gorseinon where the limit is 20mph. He was fined £153 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

James Robert Jones, 38, of Bryn Road, Cwmllynfell, admitted using a mobile phone while driving at Llanelli Magistrates Court on August 30.

He was caught using his mobile phone while driving on February 27 on the A4068 Lower Cwmtwrch. He was fined £130 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
