A town council has issued an appeal for witnesses following suspected vandalism in an Amman Valley park.
On the evening of Wednesday, August 30, a fire was seen at Bishop Road Park in Garnant, with significant damage done to the play area safety surface.
The damage, according to an appeal on Cwmamman town council's Facebook page, may cost thousands of pounds to repair.
The town council is making an urgent appeal for anyone with information to report it to the police.

The post said: “We are appalled to see this damage to our local facilities, which will cost thousands to repair.”
