A NUMBER of drivers have recently appeared in court for non-speeding driving offences.
Tommy David Larry Evans, 24, of Maes Gareth Edwards, Gwaun Cae Gurwen, was found guilty of driving without insurance by Cardiff Magistrates Court on August 30.
He was caught driving a Ford Transit on July 13 on the B4434 Tonna when there was no insurance policy. He was fined £440 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £176 surcharge and £90 costs.
Furkan Goksu, 25, of Mount Crescent, Morrison, was found guilty of driving whilst using a mobile phone by Llanelli Magistrates Court on August 31.
He was caught on April 20 on Park Street, Lower Brynamman and was fined £220, given six points on his licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Daniel Gebbie, 31, of Capel Isaac, Llandeilo, admitted three driving offences at Llanelli Magistrates Court on September 1.
He was caught on March 12 on Pensarn Road in Carmarthen where it was found that he was driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and was found to be under the influence of drugs as 6.5 micrograms of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood.
He admitted all three offences and was banned from driving for 36 months and to do 120 hours of unpaid work. He also had to pay £95 surcharge and £85 costs.

Geraint Cook, 37, of Mill Road, Ammanford, admitted drink driving at Llanelli Magistrates Court on September 1.
He was caught on August 12 on Cross Hands Road where he was found to have 48 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £528 and banned from driving for 38 months. He also had to pay £211 surcharge and £85 costs.
Zachary Milnes, 22, of Fernhill Road, Newquay, Cornwall, admitted three counts of drug driving at Llanelli Magistrates Court on September 1.
He was caught on March 27 at Halfway, Llandovery where he was found to have 75 ug/l of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine in his blood, 150 ug/l of ketamine in his blood and 340 ug/l of Benzoylecgonine in his blood.
He was given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months, banned from driving for 32 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £128 surcharge.
Kim Lane, 63, of Cwmamman Road, Garnant, admitted drink driving at Merthyr Magistrates Court on September 5.
He was caught on August 13 on A4067 Brecon Road near Ystradgynlais where he was found to have 46 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for 12 months. He also had to pay £48 surcharge and £85 costs.
