Llandeilo football star Ffion Morgan featured for Wales Women last night against Slovenia, as the team progressed to the World Cup Play-Off for the first time in history.
The point gained from the 0-0 draw was all that was required to see Wales Women through to the play-offs for the 2023 Women’s World Cup, to be held in Australia and New Zealand.
Ffion Morgan, from Llandeilo, came on as a second-half substitute, in a midfield for midfield swap, coming on for Brighton and Hove Albion Women’s player Kayleigh Green.
Had Wales lost the game, Slovenia would have leapfrogged them into second place to qualify for the Play-Offs.

Nearly 13,000 supporters attended the game at the Cardiff City Stadium, more than doubling Wales Women’s previous record attendance of 5,445.
Wales gained seven points from a possible nine in their last three games of qualifying, beating Kazakhstan and Greece before the Slovenia draw.
Morgan now returns to club Bristol City Women, where she faces three games in two weeks in the Women’s Championship against London City Lionesses, Sunderland Women and Southampton Women.
